Incorporating Etuaptmumk (Two-eyed Seeing) to increase Species at Risk knowledge in Unama’ki (Cape Breton)

Across seven years of the Maliamu’kik Msit Ko’kqmanaq project, knowledge of species at risk and culturally significant species to the Mi’kmaq has drastically increased in the Bras d’Or Lake (Pitu’paq) watershed in Unama’ki (Cape Breton). With increasing knowledge about these species, the better we can help protect and co-exist with them.
