Thanks to this funding, Vision H2O had the opportunity to monitor the Bank Swallow population along our coastline. This work allowed us to raise public awareness about the importance of coastal erosion, not only to provide valuable habitat, but also to replenish our beaches, which are very popular during the summer. We also had the chance to work with local partners to gather information on different restoration techniques and increase our capacity on the Living Shorelines method, as well as improve the accessibility of native plants for the local projects.
